, an acclaimed violinist and composer based in New York City, has captivated audiences nationwide with her remarkable performances. Praised for her elegant and alluring style, Sarah has been described as delivering “a special touch of nostalgia” (Expansion Radial) and offering "a soulful and sentimental violin solo that perfectly encapsulates the album’s introspective mood" (Tunite Music).

 

Sarah has received numerous awards, most recently winning the 2022 Outstanding Performance and Contributions to the Broadway Orchestra, and the 2018 Whitworth University concerto competition. Sarah has also shared the stage with renowned artists including Leslie Odom Jr., Andrea Bocelli, Jason Mraz, Sutton Foster, Kelli O’Hara, Javier Muñoz, Derek Klena, Adrienne Warren, Johan Lenox, and Curtis Stewart. A proud member of esteemed ensembles such as the American Composers Orchestra, New York Pops, Little Orchestra Society, and Cirque Musica, Sarah has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, The Apollo Theater, Madison Square Garden, Perelman Performing Arts Center, Forest Hills Stadium, 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, The Kennedy Center, and Cadillac Palace Theatre.

 

As a concertmaster for numerous music videos, national Broadway tours, and immersive productions, Sarah Fazendin has led string ensembles for American composer Richard Einhorn, Sarah Kinsley, Ferris Pier, and poet Dr. Roger Reeves. Her work as a studio musician includes recordings for Tony Award-winning composer Maury Yeston and Sarah Kinsley, and she has composed music for Becca Suskauer, her band Ditto, and the award-winning film "Noumenon."

 

Ms. Fazendin earned a Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in violin performance and music ministry, with a minor in theology, from Whitworth University, and a Master’s degree, summa cum laude, in violin performance from New York University, where she was an adjunct faculty member and studied under Laura Hamilton and Giora Schmidt.
